Learn how to use groups with different types of objects in the Fillet web app: ingredients, recipes, vendors, and more.
Introduction
Groups was first released in the Fillet iOS and iPadOS app.
Initially, there were two types of Groups, Ingredient Groups and Menu Item Groups.
In the Fillet web app, Groups becomes more useful and powerful than before.
Now you can create Groups for all your different objects: Ingredients, Recipes, Menu items, Vendors and Activities (Labor).

Functionality
Groups have been significantly expanded with powerful new functionality that you can access throughout the Fillet web app.
Tip:
The optimized mobile version of Fillet web app is comfortable to use on any smartphone web browser. Or use it on your tablet devices, large and small.

The Groups panel makes data management even more convenient and effective.
- Access the Groups panel using the side panel
- Create and manage groups in one dedicated location
- Organize objects and categorize data with flexible options

Filter by Groups option
The Filter by Groups function enhances how you interact with your Fillet data.
- Refine search results to find exactly what you need
- View specific subsets of objects
- Quickly identify particular items
- Use filters to quickly add multiple components to recipes and menu items

Where to access Groups functionality
You can access these new Groups functions and features in the Fillet web app, in the following tabs:
- Ingredients
- Recipes
- Menu
- Vendors
- Labor
Each tab corresponds to a specific object type in Fillet.
Within each tab, you can create and manage Groups specific to that object type.
